Ngorongoro Crater

The Ngorongoro Crater is amazing! We are so lucky to get to see all these animals! And just before we had to leave the crater, we got to see the last of the big five.

The big five

After leaving Serengeti, we continued to Ngorongoro Crater. When we started the safari, I didn't feel it was important to see "the big five". But - after seeing four of the five in Serengeti, and knowing that the last one, the rhino, would be possible to see in the crater, we all were a bit excited.

Last day in Serengeti

It feels a bit sad to leave Wild Camp and Serengeti ... the animals, wildlife and nature here is so special. I really hope they manage to take care of this area. Please support if you can!

Breathtaking Serengeti

It's nearly hard to believe that we've seen all these animals in so few days. Elephants, birds, different antelopes, cheetas, buffalos, leopards, zebras and also more lions.

More magic moments

It's still day 2 of our safari, and the magic moments keep coming. I need to look at the photos from Serengeti again and again ...

Lions preparing for hunting

We are so greatful to our driver, Stewart, for all that we've seen so far, when there suddenly are some lions moving in the gras beside us. It's hard to see them in the beginning since they blend in so well.

Happy Hippo Day

Hippos, crocodiles, giraffes, monkeys, buffalos, zebras, gazelles and some beautiful birds were some of what we got so see our second day of safari.

Excellent Wild Camp

After a whole day on safari, overwhelmed by impressions, we got really surprised when we arrived at the Wild Camp and saw the luxury tents we were to stay in.

Majestic elephants and lions

Can you imagine a big elephant walking straight towards you? Stewart asked us to be silent while two elephants got closer and closer to the jeep.

The magic of wild animals

I have always dreamed of seeing lions and elephants in the wild, but I never imagined that I would get to see them so close.

Visiting a Maasai village

We are all very excited this morning - today is the start of our safari. On our way to the Wild Camp in Serengeti, where we shall stay two nights, we will drive through Ngorongoro and visit a Maasai Village.

Tanzania here we come

Amalie and I were excited to go to Tanzania on some days safari in Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Lake Manyara before some relaxing days in Zanzibar. The trip is Amalie's birthday present for her 25 th birthday (last year) and her master degree in physiotherapy (this year).
